Charge Adapt AU is based in South Australia and is an authorized non-exclusive distributor of selected Sixpence EV charging products in Australia. We provide Australian compatibility testing, setup guidance, and customer support for selected EV charging adapter and accessories.

We started as an owner of a 2023/24 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV discovering that Chargefox was phasing out CHAdeMO chargers across Australia. Visiting Adelaide we could charge our car at a location known as the Brickworks and happily shop while the car was charging. On another visit we found that the RAA Chargefox CHAdeMO charger had been decommissioned. Luckily we could charge at Jolt EV charging sites in Adelaide. We found the similar decommissioning of CHAdeMO chargers in Streaky Bay and Port Lincoln. Sites we regularly visited to charge our vehicle.

With delivery of the SixPenceEV CCS2 to CHAdeMO adapter we began testing. On 5 occasions we successfully fully charged our car in 16-28 minutes. The maximum charge rate was 41 kW for half the charge period stepping down to 12-16 kW as the battery was cooling. CCS2 chargers are now available to owners of CHAdeMO equipped vehicles.
